The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has extended its conflict-zone advisory for the Middle East, continuing to urge airlines to avoid the airspace of Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon.
The advisory, which had been due to expire on July 1, has now been extended until at least July 8, 2026, citing ongoing uncertainty over the sustainability of ceasefire agreements across the region.
EASA said that despite diplomatic efforts, the security situation remains highly fragile and that military tensions could escalate again with little warning. In addition to avoiding the airspace of the three countries, airlines have been advised to exercise a high degree of caution when operating throughout the wider Middle East.
